문재인 대통령이 30일 오전(한국시간) 백악관에서 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령과 만났다. 첫 대면이다.
이날 문 대통령 부부는 백악관에서 트럼프 대통령 부부와 함께 환영만찬 일정에 참석한다. 다음날(현지시간 30일 오전) 진행될 한미 정상회담에 앞서 상견례를 갖는 셈이다.
우선 현지 언론 기자들이 전한 현장 분위기는 다음과 같았다.
한국 문재인 대통령이 트럼프 대통령에게 웃자고 꺼낸 말 : "우리도 가짜뉴스 때문에 문제가 많다."
트럼프 대통령이 백악관 만찬에 참석한 한국 문재인 대통령을 환영하며. "엄청나게 훌륭한 대화를 기대한다... 저녁 늦게까지 계속될 수도 있을 것 같다."
트럼프가 한국 대통령의 대선 승리에 대해 : "많은 사람들이 (승리를) 기대하지 않았다. 나는 예상했다."
